Leatherat Announce New Album

LEATHERAT enter the recording studio today to record their 6th studio album “Snake Eyes“. The album follows on from their acclaimed album “Uprising” (released 2012) and sees the band build on their reputation for creative and fiery musicianship and the acerbic yet humorous lyrical take on the world around us.

The new line up, Lee Smith – Drums and James Foley – Guitar, having breathed a new lease of life into an already snarling beast, marks a fresh take on the hi-octane folk-rock that has become LEATHERAT’s trade mark sound and we’re ecstatic to announce will be augmented by the considerable talents of VERY special and diverse guests…

  • Mr. Simon Friend – Levellers
  • Mr. Harvey Bainbridge – of Hawkwind fame
  • Ms. Jude Rees – of Isambarde fame
  • Mr. Gareth Turner – Little Jonny England
  • Ms. Marion Fleetwood – Colvin Quarmby

Tracks such as “High Friends”, “Old Dog”, “We Won’t Go Home Tonight” and “Your Own” are already becoming firm sing-a-long favourites at live shows with our dedicated fans and new followers alike, following outstanding performances at festivals and events throughout 2013.

Snake Eyes” will be launched on Saturday 21st December 2013 at The Mill Arts Centre Banbury, with support from the truly wonderful Mr. Gaz Brookfield and will be released to download online shortly after. Pre-orders will also be avalable with guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery.

With main stage big name festival bookings already confirmed for 2014, “Snake Eyes” will be one to watch.
